Waleska Schumacher - Between Wine & Thoughts

Welcome to my Space!

Hello,

I am Waleska Schumacher.
Wine consultant and public relations specialist with a career entirely dedicated to the wine sector.

My relationship with wine began early, influenced by my father’s work in the industry and strengthened through more than thirty years of experience across South America and Europe. These experiences shaped a vision rooted in origin, identity and the cultural meaning of wine.

The professional journey took form in the Vale dos Vinhedos, where I worked closely with the wineries that were defining the region. In 1999, I coordinated a study trip with winery owners to Napa Valley, an experience that introduced a broader understanding of wine tourism in Brazil and contributed to the early transformation of the valley. Soon after, I created Tuttovino, the first company in Brazil dedicated exclusively to wine accessories. It continues to exist today, reflecting the growing appreciation for wine culture in the country.

A new chapter opened in Venezuela, where I founded Maison Blanche with my business partner. Built from the ground up, the company positioned the Argentine wine industry in the country and played an essential role in the expansion of Argentine exports. During this period, I became one of the first professionals to introduce Malbec outside Argentina, witnessing its rise and influence on consumer taste. This phase also included the creation of a local wine school, numerous professional trainings and wine courses, many of which I taught personally. a work that I continue to carry internationally.

These experiences are supported by a Bachelor in Public Relations from UCS, a Master Specialization from FGV, WSET Level 3 and coaching certification through an accredited program of the International Coaching Federation. Over the years, I have also served as Honorary Consul of Brazil for the Dutch Antilles and taught at the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, roles that strengthened my understanding of diplomacy, education and cultural exchange.

A solid background in wine tourism, public relations and diplomatic public relations, all focused exclusively on the wine sector, reinforces the perspective and depth I bring to my work.

Today, through Grapes and Peppers, the company I founded to connect wineries and brands to international markets, I support producers in shaping their identity, understanding markets and communicating with clarity. Bringing people together is my greatest strength. A life dedicated to public relations, lived across cultures, allows me to create meaningful and lasting connections that open real opportunities around the world.

I believe that when a story honors its origin, it gains the power to travel. My work is to help these stories cross borders with truth, elegance and a sense of place.
